Suncoast Masterworks is forming a community orchestra for the Tampa Bay region — a place where musicians of every background can come together to rehearse, grow, and perform music that matters.
Whether you played through college, picked your instrument back up after years away, or have been performing in community ensembles for decades, there is a chair here for you. We are not an audition-gated ensemble. We are a community of musicians who believe that the act of making music together elevates everyone involved.
Rehearsals begin in August 2026, with our inaugural concert — Sounds of the Season — scheduled for December 18 & 19, 2026. This is a founding moment. The musicians who join now will shape the identity and culture of this ensemble for years to come.

The foundation of every great orchestra. Whether you bow a violin or anchor the low end on bass, the string section is the heart of the ensemble. We welcome players at every level who are ready to commit to weekly rehearsals and the joy of making music together.

Color, agility, and voice — the woodwind section gives the orchestra its most expressive range. From soaring flute melodies to the rich depths of the bassoon, woodwind players bring personality and nuance to every piece.

Power and warmth in equal measure. The brass section delivers the climactic moments that make audiences hold their breath. Whether you play lead trumpet or anchor the section on tuba, your sound is essential.

Rhythm, color, and drama — the percussion section holds the pulse of the orchestra and delivers the moments of thunder and whisper that shape every performance. Timpanists and percussionists bring precision and artistry in equal measure.
